Contribuisci feedbackWe started out our meal at the bar during their “Golden Hour”. We ordered a dozen oysters but only 11 arrived on the platter. When we recieved our bill, two of our wines were at full price, and not the “Happy Hour prices posted. After the corrections, we proceeded to the restaurant and had a great meal with good service
What a wonderful experience! We celebrated a birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better location with great food and service. Shaunté, our server, was delightful. She made us feel so very special and was attentive and offered great suggestions about the menu. Overall, we had a great time and we look forward to celebrating more milestone at the Castaway!
I had a reservation at 4pm. I was about 15 min early and they told me they couldn’t sit me until 4, which is fine. I checked in with them and apparently I was on a speed list to be sat even with a reservation . They told me to go back to the bar and they would come get me. They didn’t come get me they sent me a text message. Even though I had seen them come get a party right next to me, but for my party I was sent a message. I was finally sat 15min after my reservation. Location was beautiful. I was grateful that they accommodated me and sat me outside. The food was ok but it was not great. We ordered the oysters and before I could ask which ones were East and West the server left, they were also quite fishy which concerned me and made me think they weren’t fresh. The cornbread was good and my parents didn’t complain but they typically don’t like to complain. I ordered the steak and I think it had been sitting out, the outside of it was dry and it was warm at best. The service was really slow our server was polite but would disappear. No complaints on the drinks. Overall I would think twice about coming again. The service is an important part of my dining experience.

This was the one of a few places that I expected excellence in almost everything but sadly this was not the case. I went for a Sunday Brunch, to celebrate my bday. I made reservations for 11am for 3. We were seated within 5 minutes but once we got seated we waited over 20 minutes for the server to come to our table and that was only after I got up to let the manager know that we have been waiting for a long time without even water being served. Once the server came to get our order we still waited about another 30 minutes for our drinks to be brought and it was just a mimosa and a plain coffee and again after I flagged down the manager. The food and drink itself were perfect. I wouldn't have minded so much the extra long wait if I've had my drinks early on since I did ordered bottomless mimosas. Sadly, I couldn't order as many since they came out at the same time as the food. The manager did come and apologized and said he would take care of us but other than him giving me his card he didn't do much, not even a free drink as an apology. My reservations did say we were celebrating my bday but nothing was said to me about it. I was quite disappointed especially bc of the type of restaurant this is and it wasn't busy when we got there. Four other parties were seated after us within the 30 minutes we sat waiting and waiting and they were all served and were already eating while we didn't even have water.. The view was amazing though.
