Our lane did not work properly and we had to keep resetting the pins so the score was not accurate. The prices are astronomical for the atmosphere provided. The bar was closed and water machine wouldn't accept cash or change so thankfully the attendant sold me a bottle of water from the bar (curiously marked $1 more than the machine itself. It was so hot I did not care, but i guess that's what they were aiming for). It is close to home which is the only reason we did not go to Glendale as their bowling alley is far superior, serving food to order and have a working bar.
That was about an hour I'll never get back. When the lane froze, I spent 10 minutes wandering around, trying to find someone, anyone that worked there, to get help. When an employee finally showed up, he still took five minutes to fix the lane. I'll never be back.
It’s an awesome place to go. They provide great service for Visually Impaired individuals
Used to be In a bowling league at pickwick. Have not been here for over 10 years, but it didn't disappoint. We went on a Saturday evening and the place still had night bowling which was dope to see, they did change the pricing and now charge by the hour. Place wasn't too busy, customer service was On point and the lanes looked great! Will definitely visit again!
This place is past its prime, but hasn 't realized it yet. Case in point: they are charging $60 per hour to bowl, a price that doesn 't even include shoes. When I inquired about the high price, the cashier defended it by saying, Well, if you have 4 people in your party, it comes out to $15 per person. Well, what about if you 're a family of four? Do you really expect people to charge their kids $15 each to bowl? Bowling is a fun, family-friendly activity that is supposed to be inexpensive and cost-appropriate. You cannot tell me that it cost Pickwick Bowl $60 per hour per lane to maintain that place. From the worn-out, decrepit appearance of the interior, they certainly are not spending their profits on upkeep, but rather using it to line the greedy managers ' pockets.
