I ordered a medium-sized rare steak and my partner the steak, friends had the camembert and maple nuts and seafood basket. when I cut the steak, it was indirectly too well made, but the center was rare what was nice and I enjoyed it and the sweet kartoffel rossti was a pleasant surprise, my partner loved the fish, the camembert was a leak with a wheel baked with some nuts with maple syrup. the omission was the seafood basket, which as a package seafood only fried deeply and served, there was not much at all. in addition, we all enjoyed or eat. if they want a relaxed afternoon in a fantastic landscape, this place is it.
We eagerly awaited our main course, but unfortunately, it did not meet the same standard as the appetizer. I ordered the fish basket, which was not actually served in a basket but on a plate. The portion size was generous for the price, and the shrimp and fish were cooked well, but the batter lacked the crispiness and lightness I typically expect from tempura. The fish was overcooked and chewy, and the salad was fresh but uninspiring. My partner had the fried Korean chicken salad, which was also a generous portion but was only deemed okay, not excellent. The prices for wine, beer, and apple cider were very reasonable, with the cider being about half the price of other places, and there was a strong emphasis on good quality, local beverages. Despite not having the best experience, we have heard good things about Evedon and may give it another try in the future.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. It was peaceful and tranquil, with friendly staff and delicious, affordable food. They even had gluten-free options available. The natural playground was a great bonus. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We had an amazing lunch with our eight families and friends from Perth. Every dish was outstanding. The menu offered something for everyone, and the staff and chef were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the fantastic live music. Overall, it was a great day. Thank you!
This hidden gem is absolutely brilliant. From the beautiful surrounds complete with lake and picnic areas, to the restaurant with the charming chef, this restaurant could not be faulted. The food was awesome, the service friendly and professional and our party of 10 agreed that...Evedon Park was unbeatable for an all around enjoyable experience. I could not rate it highly enough
