He had reserved, and you have to do that. As a group with about 16 people we found space in the small, cozy guest room. The room gave me space for 60 people. So nothing for Klaustrophoben, it was really cuddly. On the walls of the nostalgic railway signs and warning signs, occasionally collected by an old railway station. Very funny to read how many of them were in old German writings. Teaching in the behaviors when visiting the restaurant was enthusiastic. On each table there was a waiter block, a pen and a sheepskin. For an order the green side was raised, the Tresenfrau sent a train immediately. He was on the wall for a long time, stopped at the respective table and accepted the order. In the same way, each table also received its drinks. However, there were not only 1 or 2 trains that were used, even if no order was desired, a small colorful car always drove past the tables. Either a circus car, full of laughing children, a clowndraisin or just a Bimmelbahn. If you had a wish at the waiter, you raised the red side of the knife and already he was at the table and accepted the food order. Conclusion: Event gastronomy, with minimalist labor costs. Suitable for groups, it was a lot of fun. However, it is not a restaurant where you can stay long, because the time is limited and it is also remembered. The food was typical home kitchen and the prices averaged. We weren't zoomed.
For children a unique experience: everything revolves around the railway, the drinks and the ice are driven to the table by train. In addition to German home cooking, there are also very child-friendly dishes such as wardrobes (Pommes red/white). For this it was a very special experience.
If you want to eat in Burg, I recommend the restaurant Spreewaldbahnhof Burg. Since 1995 the historic railway station building has been used as a restaurant. Here you can admire a magnificent collection of lovingly restored railway wagons, draisines and many other original parts of the Bimmelguste old Lausitzer Schmalspurbahn. In the restaurant, a 0 lane runs along the tables and takes orders or drives out the drinks. On the route are figures and houses, which is not only a beautiful enrichment of lunch for children. I'd class the food as medium. So simpler the preparation, so less disappointment. The red drum shower would be recommended. So beautiful heavenly!!!
The restaurant is located in an old railway station building and the theme railway is ubiquitous: a garden train takes orders and supplies drinks, there are plenty of old signs and other utensils on the walls and the friendly service comes in the appropriate outfit. A real experience for every railway fan. The cheap, defensive kitchen is highly recommended. On the menu you will find things like sheepskin's cuff with a pea or a railroad band as well as the good old barrel shower. We were thrilled.
Experience gastronomy back or forth. Should your children have watch over service and food. It was three times there we started with 5 stars and every time I was there it got worse and worse. First of all, I recommend it now, I must say that I would no longer go. The foods are more moderate to well if I take advantage of the price. You can't drink espresso. If you want to give up touring pubs with railways, go somewhere else.
