Legal Sea Foods - Burlington

I visited this restaurant for a lunch date and enjoyed a nice meal. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the wait time was brief, and the overall dining experience was quite pleasant. We ordered the flame-grilled haddock, scallops, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. My only critique is that the shrimp had a slightly frozen taste. It seems like the restaurant is aiming to be the Capital Grill of seafood, and while it makes some strides toward that goal, it only somewhat succeeds.

I absolutely love this restaurant chain! The food is fantastic, and the service is even better. One of us created our own meal by selecting the protein, cooking method, seasonings, and sides, which was a fun experience. Our waiter was outstanding—he assisted us in choosing our dishes and even helped us pair wine with our meals. The service was exceptional!

It’s always a joy to enjoy some fresh seafood here. The steamers are consistently excellent, and the lobster bisque is a must-try—just be prepared to set your diet aside for a little while. The rolls are absolutely divine, but I try to limit myself to just one to save space for my main course.

Went there for lunch during weekend. Didn't have to wait for seats. We ordered calamari, haddock fish with herbs butter, and spicy fish and chips. In general, I find that their food is a bit bland and lacking flavor. Calamari had the crispy coating but a bit greasy at the bottom.

Clam chowder was ok...Not fantastic. I had a few clam pieces that were extremely chewy. Waiter told us soups were made in Boston (we were in Bradford area) so you know right off the bat that the soup is reheated...perhaps days old if they do not get daily deliveries. Wife had the crab cake appetizer as her entree, it was nicely done, large chunks of crab. I got the fried seafood combo. The calmari was very tender although not really seasoned. The shrimp was cooked as far as you can cook it without completely over cooking it. Scallops were perfectly done as was the white fish. The fries, I suspect, would be fantastic if they were cooked all the way and hot when served. The service was great and he was very pleasant.
