Bombay Grill Restaurant - Burlington

Always top quality for great Indian food. There are places that are closer to us but this is worth the trip, you know the food will be as good as can be. Our server Dilaram was easy going, friendly and efficient and added to the enjoyment.

We have tried several different Indian restaurants in Burlington, but we always find ourselves comparing them to Bombay Grill. Vindaloo and the Chile Chicken Tikka are over the top!

We have been eating at Bombay Grill since 2013 as our go to Indian restaurant. Tonight’s take out order was inedible. All of the dishes were incredibly greasy and the Mixed Vegetable curry (pictured below) appeared to have been made from a bag of frozen vegetables. The pakoras were primarily batter and the naan was old and tough not fresh at all. When my wife called the restaurant to share our concerns, rather than asking what they could do to make it right, the man who answered the phone refused to connect her with the owner and said “I don’t believe you”. This is such a terrible way to treat loyal customers and we will not be back. I never leave negative reviews but this was such a disappointment the treatment by the restaurant staff more than the food. Any chef can have a bad night but being rude to customers is unacceptable.

Every time food is difrent dont know why went with family on saturday the had morethen 50 people in small place i walked out no windows i belive these people not luerning they are so cheep i order mix grill the amount was so small no salad they still from our food forget about it will never go thier

I preordered a Mother's Day dinner two days before and showed up half an hour early to find a line of at least 30 people standing in the drizzling rain who had already ordered and were waiting to pickup their food.Ten of the people behind me had been promised their order for the same time. Cars drove up as we stood there and people just walked in the door, picked up their food, and left oblivious to all of us. Phone calls to the restaurant when to voicemail . The fellow behind me said he was going to go in and take a look. The small takeout counter was packed with people not social distancing as the staff called out phone numbers, he reported when he came back in line. I left half an hour after my food was supposed to be ready. I was not prepared to jump the line and didn't want to get cover 19 by standing shoulder to shoulder with people waiting for their food to be ready. I got home and my phone rang and they asked if I was in line because my food was ready... and had been waiting. Their behaviour was greedy, irresponsible and dangerous in a pandemic. I will never go back again.
