Cobs Bread Bakery - Burlington

This bakery is truly outstanding! They provide a wonderful selection of fresh bread each day. I especially love their cheese, spinach, and other pull-apart rolls. Additionally, they have some lovely scones that go wonderfully with tea. Personally, I think a few of their sweet treats are a bit too sugary for my taste, but that’s just my preference. All in all, the emphasis is undoubtedly on their incredible bread, which always makes it worth a visit.

Always fresh! They open early, making it a great stop on my commute. They have a wide selection of breads and buns, along with delightful sweet treats like scones, cinnamon rolls, and tarts. It's a bit on the expensive side, but the quality definitely justifies the price.

I asked the charming young woman with fantastic eyelashes for a cinnamon roll with extra frosting, and she truly went above and beyond by adding even more frosting herself. As a wonderful surprise, she gave it to us for free! The cinnamon roll deserves a perfect 10 out of 10, and the service was absolutely incredible—I'd rate it 100 million out of 10. Thank you so much!

I usually treat myself to a custard Danish almost every Sunday, and while they are delicious most of the time, I've occasionally come across a few stale ones. Last Sunday, I asked the girl at the counter for a fresh one, and to my surprise, she began to argue with me in front of other customers, insisting that they are always fresh and accusing me of lying about my previous experience with a stale one. I can assure you, I've indeed had stale danishes there that I had to spit out. It's frustrating because I genuinely love this place, but it seems that the principle of "the customer is always right" is overlooked, particularly by that young employee. It was quite disappointing behavior from a brand I normally hold in high esteem.

I've been a fan of Cobs for many years, and I've always appreciated the friendly, helpful staff who prioritize quick service. Their specialty buns and scones are truly fantastic. However, I've recently noticed an issue with their whole wheat bread; it hasn't been mixed properly in the last few weeks (please refer to the photo for reference). This is now the third loaf in a row with this problem, totaling four loaves. I hope they address this quality issue soon.
