Contribuisci feedbackOut of Business. The Ho Choi Restaurant is out of business. I used to work for Kenny and family. It was the best in town. Kenny retired and new owners ran it into the ground. Didn't know how to cook food at all and clearly had NO customer service experience.
Under the previous owners the food was excellent. When the new owners took over the food went down the tubes. Fortunately they went belly up and are no longer in business. A donut shop will replace Ho
Worst food ever. Burlington locals told me this was a great fish and chip place so we tried it. Batter on fish was hard, fish very dry and tasteless. Fries tasted like they had been cooked in old old oil, and cooked way too dark. Food left a grease coating in mouth. Will never go back there. Horrible food.
This used to be my favourite place to get chinese food. I don't know what the new management is thinking changing all the recipes, but the change is not welcome. I was a customer for over 20 years and now I will never go back.
Terrific little place with reasonably quick delivery. We've only sampled a few of the actual Chinese dishes (the BBQ ribs are delicious though, and the Egg Foo Yong also very good). But what we really like is the family-sized fish and chips special, which comes with four pieces of fish, a big box of fries and gravy, and coleslaw. We make our own tartar though, as I'm not a fan of the yucky green packets of tartar they use. Anyway, for a few bucks more you can upgrade to haddock or halibut, and it really hits the spot when you get in the mood for fish and chips (which I do often!) My only complaint is that they've changed their delivery start time to 6:00 PM, which seems late to me.Worth checking out, one of those local hidden gems.
