Tha Spice Is Right - Burlington

Google says its open i drive there it says its closed and been closed for a while now, pretty misleading and a waste of time

We have been looking forward to their re-opening ever since the pandemic. We have eaten there a few times since they reopened but this is the first time we had enough self control to take pictures before devouring the food. We got the Ox-tail Meal, Curry Goat Roti, Plantains, Festival and some Jamaican patties. Not only is the food amazing and made to order, but the owner and her service is unparalleled — her suggestions and explanations are on point and shes a blast to talk to while you wait for your food. We will definitely keep returning

We tried this place when it first opened a few years back but we have not seen it open for about 3 years. We saw that they have a new website so we decided to give it another shot and placed an online order through their website. The order went through, no problem. When we arrived to pick up the food, the restaurant was closed with a sign that said that they are closed until Oct. 15th. WHY didn't they indicate this on the website??? Now I've got to figure out how to get my money back. Not falling for the scam again. If I would give this place a zero star, I would. Order from them at your own risk.

We tried The Spice is Right recently to satisfy our cravings for some authentic Jamaican food and were not disappointed. The flavours were excellent. A little more heat (as in hot peppers) would’ve been nice, but that’s my fault for thinking medium would translate to hot for us here in Canada, and that authentic Jamaican hot would be too much. It was medium, and that was fine. Next time we’ll order it hot — maybe extra hot! The staff were super friendly here, and very appreciative of a modest tip.

This is the best food and best small restaurant in Burlington in my opinion. Very friendly owners and they care so much about pleasing customers.
