A&W Restaurant - Burnaby

Maybe it was a bad night - Maybe it was because I was staying in a terrible motel and they could tell - but this was a wildly poor experience at a burger joint - every step was painful - like they didn't want the order - food was ok once i got it - relatively

Since we were in a rush, a friend and I went to the A&W on Kingsway. The time was good; it was not crowded. Later more people were coming, indicating that it is usually a relative busy place. I ordered my standard – Teen Burger with sweet potato fries while my friend ordered a Chicken Grill Deluxe. He was satisfied, in particular with the freshness of the bun. He told me that he never got such fresh buns from other fast-food chains. He found the coffee also ok (I cannot say about that since I don’t drink coffee).I was a bit disappointed by my burger. The patty was relative small and the lettuce leaf was tiny too. It seemed also that they tried to safe some money on other ingredients by using just one small slice of tomato. Additionally, the patty was just hand warm what indicated that it was not prepared fresh at all. In contrast, the sweet potato fries were pretty good; fresh prepared, hot. And the chipotle mayo was provided in a reasonable amount.I would give that restaurant a 2.5. It is certainly not a bad one, but it is also not so great.

We ate there for a couple of times, we always take the little buddy burger with cheese, there are soooooooo great! delicous, thanks for that A&W.

Filthy tables, got the Coney dog order wrong and there was something hard in my burger. Almost broke a tooth.
