I'm from virginia. the pulled boar is authentic. the hand hacked burger is my way, but the truthahnbeine they have made are the bomb! great, friendly service. very happy to have this jewel in north burnaby.
Absolutely fabulous! I went here to the suggestion of my wife because of my affinity for smoked meat and this place is on place. the brisket and the drawn black are not excessively salty while it is still tasteful and juicy, and the barbecue sauce finishes it perfectly. her chicken and Italian sausage are also wonderful. I also ordered a side of the wobble rings and they contained some soaking to immerse them and it was warm. contemplating a small detail like the taste improvement of warm, not cold from the refrigerator, barbecue diving sauce shows their passion for eating them. the staff are friendly and attentive and willing to answer all the questions they have in a polite hearthouse. I'm going to return and I'm going to bring friends.
We wanted to come here on Monday, but it was closed. we weren't busy today, so we stayed by. we both decided to order 2 meat plates, I ordered the sausage and brisket and the man ordered the hull and pulled swarms with a side of tweebel rings. the flesh was beautiful and juicy and much taste. also the BBQ sauce was warm. we're coming back.
We decided to have BBQ for our New Years dinner and based on the reviews, tried Butchers Block. We tried the Carnivore Platter. We had 6 starving mouths to feed. We'll the Platter was stunning! More than enough protein for everyone. And we still have left overs. Everyone's favorite was the beef brisket and ribs. But all the meats were tasty and juicy. Platter came with purple coleslaw, macaroni salad, side of fries and beans. The beans were a hit as well. Platter also came with corn bread. That was a bit dry but what corn bread isn't? Must try for big party's.
