Chronic Tacos - Burnaby

The Spanish rice could be hotter in temperature but the black beans and tacos were terrific.

Chronic Taco at New West always had great service, so we decided to try the Metrotown location since the New West location closed. We were super disappointed in the service at Metrotown. We had to wait awhile for our food to be ready which is understandable. But when everything was finally ready the cashier stapled the bags shut. We opened them before leaving to make sure everything was there we were missing an item so we politely told the cashier that. She immediately yelled at us and said everything was in the bag. We were shocked by her reaction in becoming super defensive and when we showed her and she realized that she was in the wrong she offered no apology which we found to be unprofessional. You would think that the staff would be more empathetic to the customers but unfortunately that wasn't the case. We are very turned off by this location and do not see ourselves returning anytime soon.

No doubt, it's one of the best Cantonese BBQ meat place. Tasty and quality foods. It's better buy takeout than sitting in.

I had the crunchy bowl and upsides it until it cost 25$, which was well worth it because it was amazing. It was very busy at metro town and a little hard to find a seat. And when the kid serving had no roasted veggies, I asked him to make some more, and he said he couldn 't. But then the manager came back and asked, What was going on? and when he saw that I wanted the grilled veggies, he said, No problem, it will take 3 minutes. He threw them on the grill and was good to go quickly after, so I appreciated that. NY bowl must have weighed at least 5 pounds and I ate it down to nothing, crispy bowl and all....gone and it was delicious
