Contribuisci feedbackVisited on the recommendation of a local Metrotown hotel. Short walk from Metrotown on a quiet side street. Both indoor and patio dining available. Large open facility with reasonable prices, good food and excellent service. Nice to be able to support theBurnaby/Vancouver fire services facility. Would visit again.
Had fish n chips (eh), the sweet n Sour chicken wings were really outstanding. Our server(Rebecca I think). Went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our choices. Located just outside Metrotown Mall in Burnaby park in the underground at the mall. It also seemed that other guests were very content. Great place for lunch or dinner.
If you are in the Lower Mainland and looking for the perfect venue for a special celebration or even just a party, you need look no further than than the Firefighters Banquet and Convention Centre in Burnaby. At the foot of Bonsor Avenue and adjacent to the Metrotown Mall, this well appointed facility offers everything including the experienced staff, that any first time or experienced event organizer could ask for.As a novice organizer, I decided to plan my wife’s retirement soirée and asked the Firefighters’ Event Planners for help in arranging a catered party - and they made it happen. I showed up the day of the event along with the band to help set up, and found the expansive room, complete with a full bar, on site catering facilities and a stage for the band, already set up and ready to go. Tables were elegantly decorated and in the colours that I had requested. The catering, service staff and the bar staff were standing by. At 6:00, the doors opened and for the next six hours the almost one hundred guests feasted, drank and were merry. The room would accommodate more than double our numbers and the cost of everything, including the hall, was included in the cost of catering, which was more than competitive.Catering received all kinds of kudos from guests for presentation, selection as well as for the freshness, taste and quality of the fare. Serving staff were efficient, professional and very accommodating.I could not rate the Firefighters Banquet experience higher. The impressive venue, the quality of food and the over-the-top service, made for an evening that will be long remembered and one I continue to receive complements on.Plan to enjoy.nordin asher
We love this place! The food portions are large and the food is great. We went there today and ordered the club house . This sandwich is made with grilled chicken on focaccia bread. We shared it and had onion rings. It was very good. The Caesar salad is amazing, so are the sliders. We also have had steak and it was great too. The fish and chips are perfect too. The servers are second to none.,
No more anual membership needed to lower your cover charge. And no more cover charge! On Saturdays they have a live band playing and that is what we have been enjoying for many years. It is an ample layout making the band area and dancing floor the centre of attention. Some tables and chairs around the dance floor, a few steps up to where most of the tables are. There is also a good size bar. Their full size nachos are VERY large so they are perfect for at least 6 friends. We have had their burgers like the Firefighters Classic or the California Chicken, very well made, we prefer salads than fries, but my husband has had their fries and they are very good. I have had their beef dip and stake sandwich are also nice options. If you want a more formal dinner, their Stake Dinner I definitely recommend. If you want to go for desert only, which we have done a few times, then their Apple Crumb with vanilla ice cream has been my personal experience...fantastic! Servers are busy on the weekends when we go, but we have had good service...And when it comes to the bands...well it is a hit or a miss. We always dance since they are hired for that, to play for people to dance, but sometimes we like the band and sometimes we don't like them that much...But Saturday evening customers, many of them, go to Firefighters Public House to dance, that dance floor is not going to be empty...we go because we are mature adults and most of their customers are over 40 for sure, some 50 and up. We prefer not to be in a dancing environment with people in their 20s, because we like different music...This way we have a better chance to dance to "oldies"...that makes our experience more enjoyable...
