Great little place with fantastic service. You won’t be disappointed. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Linguine Alle Vongole, Veal L'Artista
Four of us walked in at 8:30 pm on a Saturday. There were clearly at least two tables empty, though seemingly not clean. On asking if we could have a table, we were told that “the kitchen is too swamped right now” and “we don’t have tables”. One of us asked when they closed (if it was possible to wait/come back in a while). They then said that they were “going to close the kitchen now”. This person seemed to be a manager/the one in charge and their attitude and behaviour was really unfriendly and odd. The restaurant closes at 10 pm and it’s hard to believe that they were closing the kitchen so early on a Saturday. The kitchen being swamped also seemed like a reach given that the restaurant wasn’t full and had a couple of empty tables. It was hard not to notice that 100% of the diners were white and as POC, it did seem like a case of profiling and discrimination. Have seen similar reviews indicating the same. Unfortunate that this is the situation in 2024. It would have been better if they clearly stated that they only cater to a particular crowd.
The lasagna and gnocchi were fabulous! A great little neighborhood gem in North Burnaby! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Lasagne
This restaurant never ever disappoints. We’ve had many family dinners here and Francesco and his family are the best! Such a warm inviting atmosphere, it really feels like home. The food is always on point. The gnocchi is homemade clouds of perfection. Everyone at our table tried something different as there were so many pasta’s to choose from, it’s hard not to find a favourite. The main dish selection offers many veal options to choose from as well as classic options like chicken parmesan steak. Seafood options are delish, like the linguini with clams the prawn appetizer. Both are absolutely perfect with bread to scrape up all the saucy goodness. The antipasto platter for 2 is a regular on our bill! The classic tiramisu is always on the menu for that sweet ending to a delicious meal. I’m happy to say it’s hard to find something bad to say. They were able to accommodate our large party reservation at short notice with an already packed restaurant. If you’re lucky enough to throw a function here your guests will leave happy, satisfied and full! I recommend this restaurant for a quick dine out with family or for a large party. Vegetarian options: They Will accommodate any food allergies or restrictions you may have including gluten free Dietary restrictions: Will substitute many things on the menu to accomplish you. Parking: There is a parking lot behind and across that’s quite large. Kid-friendliness: The menu has many options for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surfaces. Are able to modify seating to accommodate a wheelchair also
