Manzano Europa Bakery Inc. - Burnaby

I've gone to Manzano since i was a toddler when it quickly became a family favourite. the staff there are very friendly and welcoming, don't pressure you to order before you're ready, and always get your food ready quickly. the breads are superb, and there are so many good foods it's hard to choose! my all-time favourites are the fruit torte and salmon sandwich (i forgot the exact name of the latter, sorry . i highly recommend this bakery for anyone looking for a nice snack while shopping around metrotown who wants to skip the food court lines and chaos. the only criticism i can make is that the seating is fairly minimal. there's lots of seating just outside metrotown, so if you're willing to walk a few minutes, that isn't much of an issue. altogether, i give Manzano five stars for their excellent service and food! great work guys! i'll see you again soon :

It is a nice family run European Bakery , been in the mall for long time and their baked good freshly made every day , lot to choose from , dropped in for a quick lunch before my next meeting , the food court upstairs so noisy and crowed like a zoo , great relax atmosphere here , tablets limited , I order their turkey sandwich and coffee , quality excellent lot of turkey filling , coffee fresh and hot , the owner's wife very friendly , oh ! boy , I can not say no for their Strawberry Mango Chees cake and Croissant , so I took some home for my snake to night ! over all , priced affordable and good quality , if you shopping in the mall , drop in try their Cheese cake ! amazing !

They serve delicious wonderful cakes and macarons. My personal favorite is their chocolate truffle cake.

Tried a Blueberry Muffin and an Almond Croissant. The muffin was nice, cakey and not as dense as other muffins. The Almond Croissant was disappointing though. It was small and had very little almonds/almond paste in or on it and tasted almost like a plain croissant. They had lots of fresh breads that looked good though, so may come back to try one of those.

This is my newly discovered bakery. So far I love their European sweet goodies. Their macarons are tasty and the chocolate truffle cake was very delicious and smooth. I can't wait to try the othet goodies this store has to offer.
