An inexpensive treat $3.49) to cool off on a hot summer day. Make sure you visit the one near the food court at Metrotown Mall. I didn't see it at the one near Superstore.
Located in the Mall near Superstore. Came here wanting to use a Dairy Queen coupon and told they don't honour Dairy Queen coupons. Came another time wanting to use my Metropolis GC and told the same, they don't honour GC. There won't be another time at this place as I visited another Dairy Queen who gladly accepted my DQ coupon.
Don't get me wrong, the oreo blizzard ice cream cake was absolutely delicious and taste is a major factor in a cake but the requested image was a little bit off. I flipped through the catalogue and saw that a surfing pikachu was available, and the sample that the employee showed me of a different pikachu cake looked pretty good so I went ahead and requested this design. I mean, it turned out OK and the cake tasted good... no doubt that you cannot resist the vanilla ice cream goodness mixed with the crunch of the Oreo! Love it! Despite the major deviation in design, my partner still enjoyed the cake regardless. We liked the creativity anyway it was spontaneous and kind of cute/quirky in its own way! Kind of reminded me of the surprised pikachu meme. However, I think it's important to ensure that the quality of the design is close to the reference image, especially if it is for someone else (who may or may not be as tolerable to artistic liberties although it may be important to relay this to the customer) I get that cake designers aren't exactly always artists, but it's something that can be worked on. Taste: 5/5 can't go wrong with blizzard Consistency: 2/5?
When dealing with fast food, there is no reason to review the food. Every location should taste the same. So all that one should be able to review about fast food is the service. The girl behind the counter seemed to have great difficulty understanding what I wanted. I almost turned and left several times, and my instinct to fo so was correct. Perhaps if she turned down the music, she would have been able to understand what I wanted. She got the order wrong, and then hands my food to me, unwrapped, with no tray. So I then got to juggle my order to a table. It's a good thing she couldn't understand my request for a combo, because I did not have enough hands to have carried a drink too. It's a food court, so there are enough other options ions that I don't need to return here. With all of the construction, this mall is dying, and with the service here, this location will die also.
As my first visit to this location, i got no complaint ls here. My friend and I was craving ice cream today so we thought we could save some money using the mobile app from dairy queen. We redeemed an app coupon for a buy one get one free peanut buster parfait and the staff happily accepted it without any problems. Luckily, there were no lines so and our 2 parfaits were ready within 1-2 minutes. Service was friendly and fast. The ratio of peanuts to hot fudge and vanilla ice cream was perfect...it was tasty as it should be. Really, as far as i know, you can't go wrong with this location (as long as you order ice cream desserts).
