Parking here was a bit of a challenge, but the food and price made up for it. A little hidden gem I almost wanted to keep it a secret. But hey, 'sharing is caring '. This tiny restaurant served mouth watering food with big taste! Their salmon oshi and scalloped motoyaki roll was the best I 've had hands down. Was literally, 'melt in your mouth ' experience, rich in umami, and the perfect size. And the price was hard to beat compared to Minami and Miki. Really enjoyed all their fresh specialty rolls. And their miso black cod was very good (not the best I 've had) but can 't complain when it 's only $9. Definitely will come back to try the rest of their menu.<br/
Best lunch Bento boxes at a phenomenal price! The staff is friendly and polite! The interior is also cute and cozy.<br/ <br/ All their food is pretty darn good! Our go-tos are either teriyaki dons, any style oshi sushi, any specialty rolls, and assorted tempura!
I found out about Sushi Modo through my friend @jershauneats (you should follow them on IG). I saw a pic of their aburi oshi and I was sold. . We came here without a huge appetite so we ordered three things:. 1. Crazy Salmon Roll this was really good. the rice was deep fried with imitation crab in the middle and a salmon on top with sauce over it.
Sushi Modo is a newish restaurant that’s popped up in the former Shokudo Restaurant location next to the Amorosa/Greek Santali House on Edmonds Street in Burnaby. The interior is fairly clean with not much changing from the last tenant. Arriving just before noon on a weekday in late September, the restaurant was empty until more noon-hour patrons started to eventually show up. In the background, they had some up-beat k-pop music playing.
