Hoover's Valley Cafe - Burnet

I was in the area for a Casino Night at Log Country Cove nearby and happened to pass by this restaurant. After reading some reviews, I decided to stop in, and I'm really glad I did. I ordered sweet tea, chicken fried steak, coleslaw, and asked if I could substitute onion rings for fries. The server happily agreed, although there would be an extra charge, which was no problem at all. Everything was outstanding—truly home-cooked, as if your family had mastered the recipes and their preparation. Even the sweet tea was just right. I can't wait to visit the area again, and I'll definitely recommend this place to others.

Parking: There’s plenty of parking around the building. Kid-friendliness: I've noticed the owner often offers free books, toys, and hugs to children. Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps at the front for easy access.

Food was great. Mixed feelings on initial impressions with the different waitresses. Will be enjoying more of the specials.

Delightful spot. We stopped for lunch on our way to an event at a winery. Food was delicious. I had one of the daily specials which was meatloaf and 2 sides. We even got a serving of pinto beans for free to try ahead of our meal. Solid choice if you are hungry.
