Shimla Spice Takeaway - Burnley

We absolutely love this place! It's my partners favourite takeaway, and everyone is so helpful and kind every time we come in. I can not recommend their food enough. A naan should always be the side of my torso!

On a stormy Sunday night Shimla Spice was a welcoming place to find. We had a very tasty meal, the best vegetable curry I've had in long while (vegetable Balti with paneer) and my partner had a tasty chicken keema dish. The vegetable Balti featured aubergine and cauliflower which was lovely since often restaurants just add a lot of cabbage carrot. The spinach and potato side dish was excellent too, and the naan was huge! Service was friendly and helpful.

Not sure how this place has won awards but it's certainly not for service the standards of which would make Basil Fawlty proud. Dirty plates, cutlery thrown at you, waiter wiping his nose on the serviettes before handing them to diners, leaning over you when...

I usually have a curry at least once per week and I particularly like a fish curry. I would highly recommend Shimla as the best in Burnley good food and good service for a good price
