Summer Palace - Burnley

The service at this restaurant was awful. The woman I spoke to on the phone forgot to include my order of chips, and then tried to charge me twice for delivery even though I had already paid £50 for my meal.

20 minutes too late and threw away most of them. absolutely terrible eating. salat in the chicken wings, no taste at all in any dish. we never come again.

I've been here before, but never again. Today I paid £30 (including delivery) for very mediocre food. the main course was bright orange and the chicken dish was mainly carrots. that was so good. time for a total time;...others will be the competition to what used to be an excellent place for the abduction din in the food.

Had a retreat last week that disappointed me! my wife had huh with a lemon and honey sauce she said was delicious. I had bark with green paprika and black bean sauce. the rice and the sauce were very tasty and well cooked, unfortunately. the bark was hard, chewing and with half of it completely unusable. it seems a scandal that restaurants and takeaways do not serve the quality of the meat that is delivered, before serving it to careless customers! I was also shocked to inform that the delivery was £6 when I was already charged £18.50 for the two meals!

Simply excellent Chinese food! In my experience a good Chinese takeaway is actually a very rare find. Chinese food is so often greasy and over-flavoured not so at the summer palace! We have tried many of the Chinese takeaways in Padiham and yet over...the last three years we keep coming back to summer palace simply because of the quality of the food. Service is generally very friendly, especially so recently. We live locally and always choose takeout, because the restraunt’s decor itself is a bit shabby: the lighting is quite harsh, there is yellow high vis tape tying things together and it feels like it hasn’t been refurbed in 20 years. But we don’t care! The takeaway food is thoroughly excellent, and so we keep going back (despite the slightly higher prices) and we want this business to thrive and succeed.
