Rio Mexican Cuisine - Burnsville

This restaurant was fantastic both inside and out. The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly and polite. I would give this place a million stars if I could. It's truly a wonderful spot in the mountains, and I can't praise it enough. I hope to return soon!

A good experience. We had the spicy flautas, soft tacos, and a medium margarita. The flautas were good. The spicy sauce was very good, the soft tacos were totally adequate, and the medium margarita was actually quite large. We'd be happy to go there again.

While staying in Burnsville, NC a friend recommended this local gem. The food was fresh and the flavor was just right. The Chicken Flautas I ordered were amazing. The shredded chicken was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. My husband had an Enchilada plate, one chicken, one beef, one cheese and one ground beef. He raved about them. The chips were fresh and warm, the bean dip was excellent. So was the guacamole. The only thing we were not raving about was the salsa. We enjoyed this restaurant so much we returned two days later. If you are in this area and like Mexican food, by all means stop by this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

I really like this place! It's nice to have choices in a town this small. For what it's worth, I've never had ANY problem with the service; I guess if you want your food in two minutes, you can always go to Taco Bell...?
