Following some disappointing visits to pubs, we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a wonderful meal and conversation with Tim. The campground was impressive, offering perfect amenities and excellent showers. We appreciated the cozy alcove for dinner, complete with a fire and cards. This was the ideal place to stop and spend the night!
Fantastic 150-year-old pub with a rich history. Engaging conversation with the owner and bartender. Delicious meal and cozy atmosphere.
Awful experience at this restaurant. The staff member who greeted us seemed to be having a bad day, and the crowded car park only added to the overwhelming atmosphere. Our initial greeting was less than welcoming, as we were told we couldn't have dinner there. We settled for a drink instead, but even that simple request proved to be too difficult. After waiting at the bar for several minutes, trying to get our order corrected, we were completely ignored. Frustrated, we decided to leave and went to a different pub instead.
Just wonderful. Check out the copper coffin coffee table in the lounge off the front bar and an original Breaker Morant movie poster (that classic film was made close by) and lots of interesting art. It’s just a lovely pub with beaut ambience and cheering pub food…. especially the mixed grill. I love this pub.
Stopped on way to Adelaide, didn’t think it would be much but had the best time, Publican is a character and food was great. Definitely worth a stop, historic and full of charm and good people.
