We were in the mood for malakoffs and since all the usual malakoff restaurants were all closed for vacation, we found some on the look and the caffe de l’union and loved! we will come back here definitiw the next time we are in the...Mood for cheese! great service and charming Swiss decor. it can definitely recommend.
That was amazing. only about 35 minutes outside of genf is the restaurant in a picturesque city. it also serves typical of the region with typical wine. we went to lunch and sat outside. malakoffs and salat. and dessert we have. but make sure a reservation bc is impossible to go without one. the owner is very pleasant and friendly. after lunch we didn't feel excessively full or uncomfortable, how to feel after having roasted food. That was great.
Very typicial small not yet renovated up to date local restaurant, serve regional food malakoff fondue. Not a big card but quality food with Swiss price. Friendly staff. Wine is good, owner produce wine from the vinyard behind too. Menu for kids, no...space for kids moving around though. Wifi is available, need to ask for the password.
As often in Switzerland, you feel like this place does not need patrons. We came throught the porch of the (otherwise magnificent) terrasse. The owner bumped into us and almost screamed on us to get out of the way. We sat and had to wait...40 minutes for below average, unoriginal, greasy and swiss priced (i.e. overpriced) food. The kids were served was after us. The wine was decent (as it always is in this region), the location quite nice, but another one of these restaurants that clearly lives off it's location and absolutely doesn't care about giving its clients a good experience. There will be enough tourists coming by with the next bus!
