A fabulous wine list, we enjoyed a couple of bottles of a lovely Sauvignon Blanc followed by cocktails. The service was excellent and we were looked after well. Attentive yet not invasive. Food was lovely, atmosphere great. Live music started not long before we left. Will be back soon.
It’s been several years since our last visit and have to compliment the mousetrap on very good service and great food and drinks
I visited the Mousetrap in February and April this year with different groups of friends and I’m sure I’ll be visiting many more times in the future! The platters are great for sharing and trying different cheeses but you can also pick your own cheese platter which was good for my pregnant friend who was avoiding certain cheeses. The first time we went I opted for the red rose cheeses (when in Lancashire! and the next time we tried the European cheeses. All great! The staff are very knowledgable about cheese and are great at making recommendations as well as giving tasters if you’re unsure. The cafe is very casual and has a lovely atmosphere. The alcohol selection looks impressive, but as we had driven over from Manchester we didn’t get to give it much of a try!
Took my friend for lunch for her birthday, amazing selection of gin and cheese! Lovely helpful staff and beautiful venue.
What an amazing place best cheese board ever. We went rogue and picked our own 5 thoroughly recommend all of them.from.the blues to the mild garstang white. The atmosphere is slightly quirky like it was Victoria Woods legacy I kept on expecting somebody to say 2 cheese . Thoroughly recommend it
