Uncle Sal 's pizza is now Pete 's Pizza. Granted, we live in an area that has so many fantastic Italian options and we tend to be spoiled when it comes to pizzerias. However, this was just bad. Petes is right outside Saw Creek so during our vacation home renovations it seemed like the best option for take out lunch because of its proximity, not so. First off, the man who answered the phone was not pleasant. Not rude, but just seemed like I was bothering him. When I asked for two Italian hoagies or heros as they call them up here with the works including sweet and hot peppers he gave me attitude about the peppers and said he didn 't have them. Now call me crazy but what Italian pizzeria doesn 't have peppers? Anyways, I walk in and after some confusion about the name change and decide to get a slice of pepperoni and fries as well just to try everything out, for reference, obviously. After the short 5 minute drive back to the house the brown bag the slice is is completely soaked through in grease. Literally the greasiest pizza I have ever encountered. Nothing about the pizza tasted fresh or home made, and that was the highlight of the meal. The Italian hoagies tasted rank. I don 't know if the vinegar had gone bad or if the meats and cheeses were just of a low quality but we seriously couldn 't even finish half of it. Next time I will drive the extra ten minutes down to the main road for our lunch.
The pizza and wings are good. This considering there is not much choices in the area.
