Plenty of had gel to use on tables and in the door as you inter and leave. Well worth a visit 10/10.
Quirky and unexpected cafe off the busy strip. A little confusing on the opening times, but beyond that is a relaxing cafe that serves high quality hot drinks with a food menu to compete with. My partner and I enjoyed a double espresso and dark hot chocolate, delivered by chatty and professional staff. Definitely revisit and hopefully give them 5 stars after a brunch or lunch.
A little pricey and on our visit not particularly welcoming. Good cake option for vegans or anyone wanting gluten free but best avoided if you have a nut allergy! there were no signs advising that most of the gluten free cakes contain almond derived ingredients. Having had an excellent lunch at the Buxton Brewery Tap House we decided to venture elsewhere for a coffee and cake. A quick search brought up the Coda Vinyl Cafe and the description of the cakes convinced us to wander over. Unfortunately we arrived twenty minutes before closing and they were very quick to advise us that we could have a coffee and cake but that we 'd be kicked out at 4pm. The cakes on the counter looked good, but my wife wanted to check there wasn 't anything else that wasn 't visible, the response how many more cakes do you want? . I started a conversation about the impressive number of vegan or gluten free options but found the owner rather defensive in the face of my simple curiosity. And so it continued, not exactly unfriendly but certainly not a warm welcome. My cake was very good, my wife 's reduced sugar apple cloud cake less so (it tasted like cinnamon and bread), and our latte and tea were also good. They locked the door at 3.50pm having basically turned away another customer a couple of minutes earlier. So despite bagging the one comfy sofa, we didn 't feel able to relax and enjoy our treats. We finished up just after 4pm and left. I 'd be willing to try again earlier in the day, but with so many other options, and not being local, I 'd try somewhere else first.
Friendly, yet easy welcome. Menu is short but something for all our party. Freshly cooked food and dog friendly. I have been twice now in the middle of the day and will go again. Great selection of music playing gently in the background gives a lovely ambience. A little gem.
It was excellent. The coffee was delicious and so was the lemon ricotta cake. The music was really good too, but you could still talk to each other. The only negative is, it is no where near where we live so I can't visit again otherwise I would be there all the time.
