We stopped here on our way back from a wedding. It was recommended by the Best Western we where staying at, and we where blown away that there wasn't a line out to the road. Everything on the buffet was excellent, especially the fried chicken, and the chicken tenders. If you're looking for heaping helpings of hot and fresh southern fare, with a friendly atmosphere, at an AMAZING PRICE to boot. Look no further. 10/10 and nothing less, makes me sad I don't live closer
Very good price for the food. Need better cooks. The food has no flavor whatsoever even the desserts. The place is not that clean on the inside. Clean plates had food on them. Silverware had food on them. Just a little TLC and the place would be packed out. Sorry but they do not know how to cook food or season it. Will I revisit this place no
Our family stayed at the Best Western across the street, we obtained a list of restaurants from the desk. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise, and addition to the near end of our trip. The staff from cashier to workers quickly bringing and refilling drinks and gathering our used plates, were all very pleasant, welcoming and hardworking. There were favorites for every one in our family, including a large variety of foods for the vegetarian eater, which is unusual these days. From perfectly baked and fried chicken, to pulled pork, to a beef dish, as well as nearly every vegetable from brussels sprouts to cabbage, a tasty rice/cheesy/green bean casserole, a full fledged fresh salad bar with both romaine and iceberg lettuce choices, all of the toppings, to both sweet and mashed potatoes with gravy, corn bread, yummy rolls and more. Dessert disappointed, as they were out of nearly everything, choices were slim to being with, with what appeared to be a bit of pudding, jello squares, brownies but there was also hand dipped ice cream if desired. Dessert did not discourage us with the amount and quality of the buffet foods, however, it would be nice to have a few quality signature desserts available. As for atmosphere, this is a clean, pleasant place to eat, with flags on the wall representing each of the armed forces, serviceable tables and chairs and friendly folks with great food. It is not your candle-lit, music softly playing, plushily carpeted restaurant. We appreciated the friendly atmosphere, the hard work and the wonderful food, seemingly prepared with love. We wondered if someone's 80 year old grandmother made all the food, we were told this was not so
This little buffet restaurant is located a quarter mile east of I-75, off exit 149, South of Macon Georgia. Some of the best Southern Fried Chicken we have eight in quite a while. The breading was excellent not overly seasoned. The white meat was tender and very moist! Put it on our list to stop again next spring on her way home to Michigan
