Vela Dining & Bar - CABARITA

We enjoyed the VIP "Winter Warmers" set menu with delicious beef cheeks, a wonderful duck Maryland and a selection of desserts.The food was spectacular, but the service was most disappointing and far below what we've come to know over the years of dining here.Admittedly, we were there at lunchtime on a sunny Friday, but did not feel at all welcome like we used to. Front of House needs some serious training, fast!Again, the food was great! We just hope some attention is paid to the front of house.

Been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner many times and it's as good if not better than the time previous.The setting and staff are great!!! The food is always delicious and though a little expensive the price is most definietly worth it, the portions are great size too!

We visited Vela Dining and Bar last minute due to a problem at our first choice for Sunday lunch. Naturally we had not booked. At first we (four of us) were moved from one area to another as it was full but the staff did everything to squeeze us in the outdoor area. The meal was lovely and you could choose from a tapas menu or dining room menu. The staff were very helpful. One particular girl was exceptional ( sorry her first name escapes me L khoury?). Our friends live nearby and we live out of town but we all have no hesitation in returning! Well done! A very enjoyable day!

Picked this restaurant for it's location.Right on the water with great view.We were fortunate to have a perfect sunny day for this birthday celebration which made the location all the more appealing.As we were are large group of 20 people we had pre-booked a set menu with the reservation team.Thanks Nina for all your assistance with the preparations and the correspondence leading up to this special day.On the day the wait staff were excellent and very accommodating, the food was first class and everything went off without any issues even to the extend that the birthday cake we brought along was cut into exactly the same size for all the adults. (I think they have done this many times before).For a special occasion I would thoroughly recommend this location. Great Food,Great chef, Great friendly staff from organisation to delivery on the day and best of all great location. A real credit to the management and staff of this location.PS Just remember that the Cabarita Council has pay for parking in this location and it is policed

I found this little gem after searching on line for a list of best water front seafood restaurants in Inner West. Vela is nice and cosy with practically a surround water view. The location is indeed fantastic and fitting for a birthday celebration! Service was friendly and helpful seeing its our first time dining there on the 11th March.. Menu for entree and mains had an adequate selection. Our party enjoyed the seafood entree for two. It was delicious and was an ample plate that by the time our mains arrived we could only have a few mouthfuls. So we didn't get to try the dessert. But this means we will be back for more and as the cheery staff, who waited on us advised us to 'bring your stomach' next time. One small suggestion to add to the menu, we would love to see a hot and cold sea food platter as mains such as those served by Doyles or Nick with added lobster, stuffed fried prawns and battered fish fillets.
