Contribuisci feedbackFantastic atmosphere and food . unfortunately the service was a bit slow missing ques for drinks. Ordering a steak rare to medium rare ,receiving it and it being more medium was a little disappointing. lucky a good cut of meat and amazing jus to compliment the meal saved the dish. The cannolini puree was devine also complimenting the eye fillet. Would recommend the Shiraz "Two hands" suited to the cooler weather. Overall a lovely night.
My wife and I had our 30th wedding anniversary dinner in this restaurant. The decor was interesting, with traditional Italian style furniture and with corrugated iron walls. Nevertheless the ambience was pleasant and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the sommelier recommended a lovely Yarra Valley Pinot which complemented our tortellini and duck dishes beautifully. Would definitely go back.
We always enjoy a small menu expecting the dishes to be superior. Sadly this was not the case, the cauliflower fritti and the tiramisu were both disappointing. Luckily my beef carpaccio was delicious so much that I ordered it again next day for lunch. Our lunch order consisted of a glass of red wine, a cheese plate plus the carpaccio. Sadly the carpaccio didn't arrive and although we were not charged for it we were charged for two glasses of wine. Service is a tad lackadaisical.
The restaurant, revamped as Cichetti Club, exudes a tropical ambience with its melted candle wax and bird cages hanging from the ceiling. The cuisine is Italian-inspired. For our Primis, we had the kingfish crudo, seared tuna, avocado, saffron and quinoa, which was exceptional, accompanied by a glass of Prosecco. For a Pasta, one cannot go past the Pearl meat and prawn tortellini with scallops and lime, accompanied by a 2014 William Fevre Chablis; and for Secondi, we had the Cape Naturaliste black Angus beef tenderloin with parsnip, witlof and truffle jus and the fresh snapper with cannellini bean puree, fennel, pimiento and caper dressing. These dishes were accompanied by the witlof, pear, walnut and blue cheese salad and a fabulous Il Poggione Montalcino Brunello. The service was great and the waiters friendly. Highly recommended for a special occasion when in Broome!
The old saying 'you pay for what you get ' is certainly true at Cichetti on Cable Beach.Absolutely magnificent decor ,beautiful big timber chairs and lots of candle light give the place a really special feel.Italian beer on tap is just a start to the Italian touch of everything at Cichetti.I started with Calamari done in a light lemon and pepper crumb,Our mains were Snapper with braised fennel, hand cup potato wedges and broccoliini.Mine was Veal Cotaletti served with red cabbage salad and a beautiful italian sauce.Wonder staff make you feel at home. The food really is a level above many other venues in the area, but as I said, you get what you pay for.Give it a try for that special night.
