The Zookeepers Store - CABLE BEACH

I think I must have bought coffee, breakfast or brunch at least five times at The Zookeepers Store during my short stay in Broome early August 2017. My accommodation was very close to it and the famous Cable Beach. Each visit to The Zookeepers Store was met with friendly and efficient staff, best coffee in town (my opinion and those of my companions) and inventive and tasty food. It didn't matter what time of the day we went there, the service, coffee and food was always amazing. The Zookeepers Store is also a favourite of the locals, which I found out during my stay in Broome. Try the "half and half" or smoked salmon bagel, with a delicious coffee, as a starting suggestion. Great little hideaway place although very popular. Stopped in at the willi creek pearl farm shop and some refreshments very ????

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast here on our last morning in Broome. Service was great, decor is cool and chic. Mrs Kiwichef had the Keepers Benedict with a side of mushrooms, while my choice was the Chilli Scrambled Eggs, and both were wonderful. Great coffees and pastry cabinet too. Well recommended.

Waiter & waitress were rude, food was expensive even for Broome standards and coffee was average. If I had to sum it all up one word: pretentious

Fabulous food and helpful friendly staff. We cycled there every day for breakfast and then returned in the evening for dinner. Great cocktails too. A must if you are in Broome.
