La Catrina Restaurant & Bar

We saw wonderful reviews for this place and eating was affordable. we tried to eat here and it was closed. google and her website says they're open. sad that we missed them.

We visited La Catrina based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews and those reviews were “spot on”. We started with the flaming cheese appetizer, as several reviewers had recommended, and we were not disappointed. First of all, the presentation is really skilled and entertaining, using flaming...lighted tequila to enhance the preparation. The order is big so we took some of it home in a box and reheated it in the microwave the next day, between two plates, and it was still good. I love chicken with mole as I have said in other reviews although only when I can get it with a breast of chicken. I asked if they could make it with a chicken breast and after checking with the kitchen, the server came back and said they could. I ordered it and the mole sauce was great, complex and rich as it should be. My husband ordered a pork dish, although neither of us can remember the exact name of the dish. He said the pork was really good. Finally,the service during our meal was excellent, starting with the young lady at the entrance and continuing through our servers who were attentive, but not overbearing. I would highly recommend La Catrina and we will return.

So sad to report that la catrina restaurant bar is no longer in business. we enjoyed them for years. I'm sorry they're not here anymore. thanks for the great memories! we'll miss you.

Yes you can eat near the beach and not pay exorbitant prices...this gem is feet from the Office, Mango Deck etc. see and hear the water, and pay of the price....no beach vendors to deal with...the food is very good and the staff...and friendly and knowledgeable... we have had breakfast and lunch here and they do not disappoint... do yourself a favor a try this place.

Our waiter Miguel was great. My daughter ordered chicken in chocolate sauce which she did not like. He replaced this with the enchiladas at no charge. Very friendly staff and great location. You can see the water but you are not eating in the sand. The guacamole made table side was awesome. Highly recommend you try this place when in Cabo.
