We ate here as a part of the all inclusive stay. I was simply unimpressed. Very average food, service was okay.
I'm so glad I read that first review. I'm in Cabo staying at Solmar and didn't want to have to walk into town for tacos after snorkeling. This place is as good as he says: Fish tacos for about $1.20. Shrimp for $1.33. Seriously. There are tables. Everything on the menu is 1/3 - 1/2 the price it would be in town. Only problem is they close at 5 p.m. I'll be back every day this week for more tacos and maybe I'll try other things on the menu. Great find!
Гуляя с мужем, решили зайти в этот ресторанчик и народу было не много, по сравнению с другими днями. В общем кухня супер , мы были довольны.
After going to Cabo for 9 years every winter and searching for the best tacos we can find. We finally started asking the locals that DON'T speak english where they would get tacos, and we found a couple spots. The one that stood out ended up within just a 5 minute walk from our resort. I had been walking by this little tiny joint for the last 8 years and had no idea. Chava and his wife (didn't get her name) have been making tacos and ceviche as fresh as it can possibly be made. See, we go fishing every year and have our catch cooked up at a few local marina restaurants every time. This last year (Dec 2013) we asked a dive shop after diving where we could get the best tacos in the marina area. We were pointed towards a taco truck right down by the docks. Literally, Chava walks to the docks, which is max 60 seconds away IF he decides to chat on the way and buys fresh seafood to fix up. We actually brought our own since we just caught Mahi Mahi and Marlin. We struck a deal to cook up half of what we brought and he could keep the rest. What came back to the table was just ridiculous. Me, my wife and guest this last year are pretty much seafood snobs and we know what good seafood should be. The marlin ceviche was the best, make no mistake, the BEST we have had in MX. The tacos were the best we have had in Cabo and we have been walking the backstreets for 9 years running looking for the awesome food that you see on food network. If Anthony Bourdain were to partake of a couple treats from Chava, he would roll his eyes and gush about the complex flavors from so little ingredients. Boys and girls, I am not blowing smoke...The best I can do for an address is Finisterra Centro, 23450 Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico. Addresses are different, so I don't know how accurate this is. GPS coor are 22.878752,-109.907934. Look for the little fold out menu sign and ask for Chava. This is in a van/truck that is in a little gravel parking lot with about 3-4 other taco trucks. Very close to the Marina Mercado on Finisterra. I have eaten at most of them and of course never gotten sick ( I know some of you are wondering). We visited Chava 3 times on this last trip and were very happy each time. On our last visit, there was a family from one of the cruise ships getting ceviche while his tender was honking for last trip back to the ship. He knew what he was waiting for...Do yourself a favor, find Chava's little taco truck and do a little shopping right next to it for cool goodies while in Cabo. If you are on a cruise ship, walk straight off the dock that the tenders drop you off at and keep going straight through the first set of shops. If you get to the round about, you just went a little too far, turn around and look for the taco trucks.
