Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant

Warning! Please don't be another victim of this restaurant. They don't want to serve you if you can't speak Chinese. Last night (18.04.2022), I came to the restaurant early at 6:05pm to order foods for my friends who I invited. We had been waiting for 2 hours and we complained but they ignored us and served people who can speak Chinese. Our kids were exhausted and starving. All the sorrounding tables who speaks Chinese, who came after us finished their meal, they came to us. They gave us terrible foods with too much salt and they gave us the foods we didn't order. They charged me $1010.4 for the dramatic meal with terrible foods and extremely confused feedings.

Really don't bother looking at the menu We ordered several dishes for a large family, curry was bland and floury as if the corn starch hasn't been cooked out. Other dishes were swimming in oil or the meat was so chewy the dog didn't eat the leftovers.

We attended this restaurant because our favourite was take away only due to Covid19 we ordered food from the menu that wasn't on the trolleys fairly simple stuff like Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce deep fried squid tentacles asked twice for our food we waited an hour stopped getting items off the trolleys as we didn't want to fill up and waste the food we ordered. We were the only white only table in the restaurant all other tables got their ordered food very quickly we ended up paying for only what we received from the trolleys never saw the ordered food very disappointed it really did feel that we were ignored because we were white I have NEVER experienced this in Cabramatta before!

We had a group 14. We had made a booking. The place wasn't too busy. There were quite few trolleys asking us if wanted anything off their trolleys. The food was good. The egg tarts were great. They had a variety of yum cha dishes. They had prawn dumplings, pork buns, rice pork rolls, steam dim sums and more. We also ordered fried rice and a prawn rice noodles. It was about $20 per person. It was alright as we ate a lot. The service was alright.

I do not recommend or will go back to Golden Palace again. They charged me 2.3kg for a mud crab I ordered for Mother’s Day and when I weighed it, it was only 1.2kg. You purposely ripped us off and this dishonesty is unacceptable. $156.40 for 1.2kg crab, that works out to be $130/kg for mud crab. Overpriced and dishonest vendor who engages in bait-and-switch practices!!
