The Commercial Inn - Caerphilly

Myself hubby son and grandson went for dinner at the commercial Inn,very disappointed with the food,for 4 the size of the veg were very poor,small dish of peas just enough for 2 , 2 small pieces of broccoli and red cabbage,just about feed me yet alone 4 people no gravey boat just a bit of gravey on the plate,my son had the chicken which he said was nice ,the other 3 had pork belly,all in a Yorkshire pudding which you could not cut,burnt around edges,disgusted won't be going there again,I think they are under new management,very poor the other menu was for better

Visited yesterday for dinner with a friend. Menu had changed so was a little apprehensive. Opted for the pulled pork and brisket and OMG it was incredible, my friend had the same (she changed her mind 3 times). It was hot, full of flavours and just perfect…. Only downside is I wanted more… the lady who served us all afternoon her fave food was also the same as what we chose, and she was very friendly as were all the staff we encountered. I’m a regular for nights out in risca with work but not for food but I’m already planning my next dinner date back here Thank you all keep up the good work

This pub was one of the best my family and I have ever visited. The food was amazing, especially the brisket croquettes and chicken wings. They had a wide variety of drinks, including craft beers and flavored spirits. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back soon! 5 stars.

Had a day out and we were looking for a nice little pub for something to eat on our return journey home . We hit the JACKPOT with this little diamond !!! The staff were lovely and friendly . It was 39 degrees so we wasn’t wanting a full on meal just some sort of snack or picky bits …. We went for the steak and onion marmalade sub , the 1/2 bucket of chicken wings , pulled pork dirty fries and dirty onion rings …. The wait wasn’t very long at all , maybe 15-20 minutes . The food was presented beautifully and looked soooo good I was too excited and my partner and I got stuck right in unfortunately I didn’t take a photo first !!! What can I say … absolutely beautiful …. There was not one thing I could have said could have been improved !!! Everything cooked to perfection and so much taste and flavour !! Deffo hand shake to their chef !! The pub itself is also set out perfectly … they had an area where you can watch football with no music , so all you footy fans can hear the commentary …. For us music lovers there was another section where you can listion to music without having to hear the commentary !!! The music they played was also really good tunes !! Hats off to who ever planned the layout … you’ve thought about everyone !!! This pub definitely deserves more then 5 Great food friendly staff great atmosphere If we lived closer this would deffo become our new local … well done guys
