Cafe China Noodle Bar - Cairns

We returned from a fun trip at the Barrier Reef and wanted a quick dinner that was within walking distance of the Pullman Hotel. Cafe China is a quick walk across the street and located inside the Pullman Casino. There were several authentic dishes, and we tried the Barbeque Pork and Chinese Combo fried rice. Both were filling enough for each of us and the prices were reasonable. Each dish was about $10 Australian, which was a good price for the area. They served us right away, and although most of the restaurant is near the open door or outside area, we could sit in the back air conditioned part of the restaurant. This was a welcome break from the humidity.

Whenever I come to Cairns the Wonton Laksa is a must have for me. My wife and I go out of our way to have it and we have never been dissapointed. Our most recent visit was as good as always and we will be back again!

We were only in Cairns for four days and ate here twice! We had a curry dish, a shrimp dish (twice), gyoza and dumplings among some noodle dishes. It was really fresh food. We did both meals we had to go. The staff is not super friendly, but the food made up for it.

A plate of Pad Thai around $13, so cheap and quick meals. Located in the Reef Casino, basic tables and chairs. Does a busy take away service at lunch, not sure if they are open later for dinner or not.

Came in tonight to get dinner and I must say the service was spectacular. Very kind and helpful young man helped us decide what we wanted to eat and with their set up my partner and I got to watch our meal being prepared in front of us.The pricing was great too, I really like that I did not have to pay an arm and a leg just to enjoy a new meal.While it did take a while for them to finish preparing the meal, we did enjoy seeing how they made it and what they put in the meal.Wonderful service, great food, and a lovely quiet little place to go for a date.10/10 would recommend.
