I tried the samosas at this restaurant, served by the owner who had a bit of an attitude. The pastry was good, but the filling was only mashed potato with very little flavor. There were no condiments provided with the samosas, not even a slice of lemon.
I ordered a curry for lunch and found it to be pleasant. It wasn't anything extraordinary, but it was a satisfactory meal for takeout in a shopping center.
Great outlet for a quick lunch at Cairns Central. The quality is always consistent unlike some other outlets in the food court and the prices are some of the cheapest. An $8.95 Lamb and Potato Korma with rice definitely fills me up. Far better than some Indian restaurants in FNQ at a fraction of the price.
As an Indian myself, this small take-away shop provides quality that surpasses many other Indian restaurants in Cairns. If you don 't like this curry, then you might be accustomed to crappy microwave 'Australian ' curries! The pastries are hand-made with TLC and Diana, is one of the most delightful and passionate owners I 've come across.
