Disappointingly, all three halibut fillets, priced at $50 each, were served with a watery sauce (if it's watery, it's not really a sauce). The pieces of fish were so thin and small that they resembled tail sections, and even at Costco, you can find much thicker halibut fillets. The fish was lacking in flavor and any marination as well. It's unfortunate to see the entrees decline. We love this venue for celebrations and bringing guests, but the quality of the food needs to improve. It used to be excellent over the past seven to eight years—what happened? There were no specials for the fall season and no soups on the menu whatsoever! We were looking forward to the desserts, but they were merely average. The apple tart, which was supposed to be warm, arrived cold and was just a chewy, thin piece of pastry. The pumpkin cheesecake was not what I expected; it was essentially crumbly bits topped with a little soft cheese. The scoop of five-spice ice cream that accompanied the apple tart was the highlight of the dessert for me. The key lime pie was also good. The drinks, however, were fantastic. The cocktails were beautifully crafted and presented. Despite loving the venue and the service, we will be looking for another restaurant moving forward. With a bill ranging from $700 to $900, the food should be exceptional, and unfortunately, it just hasn't been lately. We left feeling disappointed.
This is my favorite restaurant! The food, service, and atmosphere are all outstanding. Our server, Dinora, was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Overall ratings: Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5.
There is no other place like it! We have visited over 50 times throughout the years, mostly for Takeout, and it's our favorite restaurant, hands down. The food is always exceptional—think of a Michelin-star experience in NYC, but at a much better price. The service is consistently excellent, with very little staff turnover, and you're dining in what might be the most beautiful venue in all of New Jersey. Now that we live on the West Coast, we still believe it's worth a quick trip to EWR just for a meal here. Great job, Ninety Acres!
This is a place for people over 50. We were given worse seating despite showing up before two other couples which were sat before us with better tables. Disappointing. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
Was fortunate to book a birthday dinner reservation with my family.
