Loved the service i got from the small business especially the son andy the salt and pepper chips was very tasty will NOT be going to the chippy across the road again
I ordered the fried seaweed and duck at this restaurant, and it was delicious. The seller was friendly and the prices were fair. Just a heads up, they only accept cash payments.
Gone down hill past few years which is a great shame. Used to be quality and tasty. I always find gelatine lumps in a few of the dishes which puts me off. Meat is sometimes rubbery. Chips often overcooked and never consistent. They used to be amazing. Curry sauce taste bland and like chip shop stuff. Two king prawns in special. Not a treat anymore.
We stopped by this chip shop on our way to the train station and found the atmosphere to be quite unusual. There were no cooking smells, no fryers visible in the front, no fridges, and no condiments. A sign indicated cash only and another sign stated that eating inside was not allowed. Despite this, we decided to order two portions of chips and gravy and one portion of just chips, which came to just over £11. Upon looking at the menu, we realized that gravy alone cost £2.20. After we had already paid, we waited for quite some time until a lady emerged from the back with a bag of chips and two takeout boxes. When we opened the boxes, we discovered that the chips were frozen. There was no offer of salt and vinegar, only the assertion that they were hot. Overall, we were not impressed with our experience and will not be returning to this peculiar establishment.
