Pearsons Fish - Calderdale

Excellent traditional fish and chip restaurant. Fish knives, friendly table service, large portions (or senior citizen special), great value. Trip advisor said they were closed but they were very much open. Busy Saturday lunch so get there early.

I tried this shop as I was told that it was quite good. I had the fish and chips that turned out to be very greasy and of poor quality. I was served a fish that had not been freshly cooked and I did not enjoy eating it. The portion of chips was very greasy and I could taste the grease for hours afterwards. However, I thought I would give it another try and asked for a freshly cooked fish upon entry, which the staff duly did. It turned out that the fish, although cooked freshly, was of very poor quality, the batter was soft with no taste and the chips were again soft on both inside and out and again greasy.

Absoloutly lovely food and service. Five stars from all of us who ate today !! Would eat at this place for fish and chips every time . Personally I think this place tastes the best in Halifax and we sure have tried them !!!! Thanks !

Good quality fish and chips, helpful staff AND large portions. Lots of extras quickly available as well like Spam fritters and scollops.

I really recommend Pearson’s , the staff are all really friendly and helpful and the fish and chips are really nice . We ate in the restaurant and it was really clean and tidy
