The Black Sheep Diner - Caledon

Service was okay but the food was very slow. There weren’t a lot of customers. Prices are quite decent compared to Cape Town but reading the past reviews, it seems that the steak was the only decent tasting menu item so I went with that. Steak wasn’t that bad, the sauce was pretty good. But the chips didn’t hit the mark at all. There aren’t a lot of places to choose from inside Caledon Spa so this seems like the better option compared to da Vinci. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: R 150–200

The restaurant is very neat and at the door as you enter it gives you the perception that they cater upmarket food. The food is of very poor quality fries is dry). Food looks dull. I noted that one client opposite my table return her food. Her companion finished his plate and then they brought out her plate and she eat alone. Food is average. Steak is great though. Chips tasted weird as if it is was not properly fried. Atmoshere needs a bit lightning up, its very cold and i am not talking about the temperature. Its a no for me, sorry.
