This might be the first time I’ve given a dining experience 5 stars in all categories. Excellent in every way!

Food was good and fresh. Little salty in some dishes we ordered. Service was good and friendly.

Our first time in the small restaurant in Kensington but a simply outstanding experience! Service was pleasant, professional/helpful (we wanted some help choosing a bottle of wine nice varied wine list, several reasonably priced choices . Courteous interactions w/all three serving staff; no forgotten or delayed serving of dishes; water and wine glasses promptly re filled. While waiting for our wine we were served a very tasteful amuse bouche duck liver pate/mousse with rhubarb jam on a small toast cracker Yummm! We knew right THEN we were in for a great meal! Sharing plate style with a nice variety/balanced menu; 2 daily specials we ordered all of the main menu a radicchio salad (fresh autumn flavoured vinaigrette dressing w/ lemon and thyme with beautifully red/non woody strawberry slices, candied walnuts and dates; the puttanesca tagliatelle a slightly smaller portion than expected (my only complaint! As my partner really enjoyed more than his half share! with a dried black olive sand garnish really a nice complement to the tomato sauced puttanesca. Our shared main was 3 good sized lamb chops, finished with a honey/mixed spice glaze the chops were perfection!! Honestly the best lamb we have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked medium rare, hot, great colour served w/grilled asparagus (nice and crisp and caramelized Brussels sprouts; a great choice to balance the lamb; the chef certainly understands texture and veggies! A lemon ricotta cheesecake for dessert which is served in a stubby jar format. The chef makes her own and serves it with an in house made fruit topping (we checked before ordering as nothing ruins a good cheesecake like that strawberry jelled topping does! . No coffee for us so we savoured the gratis two Earl Grey shortbread pieces after paying for our meal. Restaurant is well located/street parking; easy walking distance via the Peace Bridge from the Eau Claire area. Make a reservation; go and enjoy a great meal!
