The broth could have been more flavorful and the pork was not very appetizing. I am just giving my opinion. Although the place had great interior and the environment is a good place to be with friends.
Great Vibe. Very friendly staff. The sashimi was great as well as the salmon mango roll. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the miso soup. The tofu was chewy and the soup overall didn't have a lot of flavour. Overall, would go back!
Presentation was nice. Soba lacked flavor and tempura was squishy not crunchy.Atmosphere not very welcoming.Might try again in future..
If you are looking for REAL Shoyu Ramen, this is it.The taste is the same as Shoyu Ramen in Japan! My favorite!! FREE Parking!
I think this place is fairly new hence why no reviews but I decided to come here and give it a try since it's located somewhat near me. Normally on 16th ave I will go to shibuya and maruju for sushi but this place did not disappoint! It's a great atmosphere to watch sports since they have a Tv in the center and it looks like hosting bigger parties and dinners would be easy here since their open concept allows for a lot of tables and chairs to be easily pushed together. I was able to try a lot of things since there was 7 of us but I wasn't able to get the photos before every gobbled at it. They have great fresh oysters for a sushi place. This place is way better than Monsoon which I recently visited and left a review for. Some of the dishes that stood out that I am definitely coming back for is: Chicken katsu rice 9.5/10 IT WAS THE BEST CHICKEN KATSU me and my husband have ever had and we always order chicken katsu for our toddler. They had it in a little pan very generous portion and their sauce was not bland and they topped it off with mozzarella cheese so if you love chicken and melty oozzy cheese this is the one! I will add a photo here next time since I'll be back for the chicken katsu Beef tataki 9.5/10 surprisingly better than shibuya IMO! The beef wasn't as chewy as shibuya it was so soft. I think it was just missing some fried garlic chips or fried onions on top then it would have been PERFECT! Chicken and green onion skewer 9.5/10 this was amazing! Personally I never go order skewers at sushi restaurants unless I'm at Ke Charcoal but these chicken skewers put KE TO SHAME!!! The chicken was sooo moist and juicy not dry at all it and you can tell it's grilled to perfection with so much flavour. I have never loved grilled green onion (scallion) until I've tried this and now I want to try to remake this at every bbq to blow my guests away. The chicken was savoury had a hint of sweetest but it was an explosion of flavours in your mouth you don't even need a sauce to dip it in! Overall, I'm super impressed my husband speaks Chinese and the owner is Chinese and he is very friendly he came out to chat and offered us some dishes that weren't on the menu like his fish sauce chicken wings. Sounds gross right? But NO! I call it fish sauce wings because I can tell one of the main ingredients he used was fish sauce but it had garlic, hot chili and that was an explosion of flavours as well. It was slightly on a saltier side and I think that's how I know it had a lot of fish sauce but if next time he put less fish sauce it would be better and he should definitely add that to the menu!
