Basil - Calgary

Stopped here simply based on the fact that it was close to the hotel I was staying at. Checked the reviews and they were good. <br/ <br/ Now I love PHO and it is hard to impress me with PHO as I have enjoyed some amazing bowls over the years across the country. <br/ <br/ I had the Ph.5 medium rare beef. <br/ <br/ The bowl was insanely good! Fresh mint along with a hot pepper on the side are great touches. In fact one of the best bowls I have ever had. <br/ <br/ I’m glad I’m in town all week. I will be back as much as possible!

Food is consistently tasty. Can be quite loud during the lunch rush hour. Plenty of seating though and food comes out quick. Would come back

I am a pho lover! I love the special combo pho in this restaurant, but it varies a little bit from visit to visit. Sometimes really good, sometimes just good. You may find it’s a bit pricy comparing with other pho places but they put a lot of beef! My husband had a sandwich with beef and chicken the other day and he liked it quite a lot.

The soup here is the best vietnamese ive had, spicy and incredibly flavourful. The vermicelli bowls are also very good. <br/ <br/ They have a very delicious and flavourful stew as well; the broth tastes like a sweet potato and veggie mix with very tender beef.

He best com no luc lac in the city. Tender and juice brought out steaming hot perfect for lunch, order a soup in the side to quench your thirst a bit.
