Chili's Texas Grill - Calgary

Not the first or the last time u have dined here. Large bar upstairs, family style seating downstairs. Very large food menu. Wonderful drink selection. Great for meals or drinks.

In a party of four, two had some fajita creation and both said it was bland. I don't eat that stuff, so we will have to take it as reported.One of us had sliders and said it was OK.I had a steak sandwich. The steak was really good (prepared perfectly, tender, tasty, etc.), but the Texas toast came all the way from Texas and was appropriately dried and hard and a tooth cracker and a gum piercer. Do I exaggerate? Yes, but you get the message.Server Lauren was finishing her shift, but it did not show. She did a good job of being good to us.Complaint: wassup with the loud music?

We came early,four ish. three adults and a child needing a high chair. First the parking is ill conceived. Signs indicating limited parking time. (Eat and Run?). Long walk to parking meter. It was raining, we do not blame the restaurant for that. The restaurant was almost empty, but we had to sit at the back at the only tables to accommodate a high chair,. The kid pasta was appreciated by the junior guest, but his mother's Flame Grilled Ribeye was deemed not worth the $30. All in all we were disappointed.

First off you can't park at this restaurant because there is a crazy parking fee system. Next, it is NOT senior or handicapped friendly. Today it was so LOUD in the restaurant we had to ask that the music be turned down. Other people told me they found the music very loud as well. But these were minor compared to the fact, the bathrooms on the main floor had flooded days before and they had NOT yet gotten a plumber in--yet they were running the restaurant and making people travel upstairs--two long flights, to a bathroom up there. The food was only mediocre...Nothing to write home about. Sad fact is we hadn't eaten at this restaurant in a very long time...AND IT USED TO BE GOOD. I was so upset. We wasted our money and time at a very horrible place, with young people working there who didn't seem to care or understand.

Chili's is always a solid dinner choice! While this Chili's is located in a rather outdated mall the restaurant itself is nice and modern and easily accessible using the train.Food here was the same high quality and most Chili's and very enjoyable. The staff were lovely and attentive and I would definitely return again no issue!
