I never asked how it was. the bartender came to check us before she even got killed to take our order. I made a comment to my friend that the service was really not the biggest. I don't know if she's overhearing us or not, but at the end everything when she took our payment, she made a comment that was really weird. she said something along the lines of “you can tell my boss if they don’t like me if they want” I said “What? No, why should I do that” and she said: “I think it would be fun” in my entire adult life I have never had so bad/wierd/foreign? experience with a waitress before let alone someone who claims to be a superior. the service was slow, the waitress gave strange vibes really made the experience strange. I gave her a tip that was honest that she was not worthy. the fact that she made this comment after I had already paid her and tipped her, made it as if she either wants to hate her job and get fired or she had no reason to do a problem with us. if she had done this comment before I paid, I would have honestly avoided tipping her. I don't think I could ever consider this experience to come back to this special place. I had a much better time in the situation in crossiron would rather make the trip from the city than return to this place, although it is just a few blocks away from home.
Booked a table for 6 and only two of us showed up. No problem at all. Our server checked on us regularly and got us everything we needed. Didn't mind at all that the rest of our party didn't show up.
We joined Fionn’s for their St.Patrick’s Day celebration! The atmosphere was alive and the staff were friendly and responsive. The fish and chips were on point! Looking forward to going again soon!
Used to come here regularly, not anymore. They appear to be horribly understaffed because everything just takes way too long. 5 minutes waiting at the door to get me seated, then over 20 minutes to take my order. By the time I actually got my order I had been expecting to be at least 2-3 drinks in by that pointThe staff are nice, friendly and helpful, they're just running around like headless chickens trying to keep up.
Edit to the review -I went with my friend today to introduce her to Fionn's. Received a 5 star service from Thomas. I am a Tuesday regular and generally do not call ahead. I was surprised when I reached, that a table had been reserved for me and my usual drink order ready on the table. My experience today made me realise that the timing issue of the kitchen closing early does not matter to me. I will continue visiting this place for the awesome food and the super brilliant service. I want to especially thank, Thomas for his exceptional service. You ensured, that I come again and hopefully bring more people in.Previous Review -Generally a great experience. Service is brilliant and food is great too. Tuesday wings special is what I look out for.The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because, the kitchen closed around 9-9:30pm, which is well before the 11pm closing time informed in the website. This happened to me 2 out of the 4 times that I have visited. So its kind of like a coin toss for me whether food will be available that day or not.
