Fusion Sushi - Calgary

This is easily one of the top contenders for the BEST sushi spot in Calgary! The first captivating dish that we ordered was the assorted sashimi which was garnished with a FRESH ICE SCULPTURE! This was such a unique way to serve sashimi and we couldn’t get enough of it!The sashimi itself was INCREDIBLE, and so buttery!I highly recommend trying the special scallop, scallop, and all their sashimi offerings!The shijo roll was also really unique, being topped off with a thinly sliced piece of lemon.The service was quick and attentive, and everyone was very welcoming from the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant.10/10!! This place is incredible!

Overall a great place BUT the little paper menu you recieve when you are first seated only includes the most expensive items and you have to scan the QR code at the table to see the full menu. We weren't told that it was a partial menu and almost ended up leaving because we didn't want to spend $18 on a single 8pc roll. It feels a little bit deceitful to set it up it that way.The miso soup here is absolutely unparalled in it's deliciousness. everything else was very tasty and the staff were pleasant. Everything automatically come with brown rice.I would come back just for the miso soup though it is seriously the best I've ever had.

We are from Vancouver Island and this was our first experience ordering sushi since moving to Calgary. Honestly from the reviews we had very high hopes, but sadly we were disappointed. This is what we got for $90. 4 rolls and 8 pieces of Nigiri. The rolls strangely all had a brown coloring on the rice, not brown rice just tinted rice?? The rolls were dry and very flavourless and the fish didn’t taste very fresh. We won’t be back. The only great thing I will say is the service was quick and our order was ready when we arrived for pickup.

Phenomenal sushi we got the deluxe set and it was more than enough for 2. Great selection of rolls and they even let us modify the last 2 rolls for a speciality roll (for an additional charge). I couldn’t even decide which roll I liked the most because they were all so tasty and flavourful. Highly recommend for a cozy dinner out

I can’t stop thinking about my dinner at Shijo Sushi. It’s probably in my top 3 sushi restaurants of all time, and that is saying a lot. The sushi is delicious and fresh as can be, and is presented beautifully with friendly service. Well worth the price in my opinion!
