Lina's Italian Cucina - Calgary

I visit for dinner at least once a month, and Chef Christopher’s dishes are truly incredible! It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy great music, sip on some wine, and indulge in outstanding Italian cuisine—definitely a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend sitting at the bar to fully soak in the experience!

We recently had our first dining experience at Lina’s Cucina, and I must say, the food was absolutely amazing! The menu may not be extensive, but you can tell that each dish is made with passion and care. We started with grilled bread, beef carpaccio, and truffle and ricotta raviolo, followed by the vegemite cacio e pepe. For dessert, we indulged in the pine nut tart and panna cotta. All the dishes were stunning, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the vegemite agnolotti—though honestly, everything was fantastic! Chef Christopher Hyde has truly excelled with this menu, presenting exquisite culinary creations. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, with options available by the glass and bottle, and the service was warm and welcoming. THIS IS A MUST-VISIT DATE NIGHT SPOT!!! Don’t walk, RUN!

As regular customers of Lina's Market, we were familiar with the layout, and after reading some reviews, we decided to try the dining experience. Upon arrival, we found the reception somewhat disorganized and the service rather slow. Additionally, the noise level was quite high, with a soundtrack of techno-rap-hip-hop music playing instead of anything Italian. We requested that the volume be lowered since we were seated directly beneath a speaker, but were informed that the chef was too busy to accommodate our request. It seemed they might have been understaffed. Despite these issues, the food was outstanding, and we would definitely return, albeit with the understanding that it wouldn't be a quiet outing.

Sebastian, Chef Chris and all the staff were amazing. The meal was so delicious and would highly recommend the whole dining experience!

Best Italian food in Calgary! Great Experience, can’t wait to return.
