Moxie's Grill & Bar - Calgary

We sat in the lounge and I ordered a chickenburger, wow it was always good. I would recommend it to everyone. we had a great service and everyone was very friendly at this place.

I haven't visited these moxies for a few years, and when my fiancé and I were in the market mall, we decided to try this place. When we arrived, we were greeted by a nice lady who asked us where we would like to sit....Our server was polite, friendly and patient. we both ordered the turkey club sandwich with fries. the brot was fresh, like the fillings. very nice taste. my fiancée had never been with a moxies, and had never tried a stacked sandwich, she thought it was wonderful. unnecessary to say we will definitely return to these moxien.

We have eaten at Moxies a number of times but not at this location for quite a while. We were in the area so thought we would have lunch here. My brother in law who was visiting from out of town had been desiring a...Burger for days so was looking forward to finally having one. Much to our surprise we were told they were between suppliers so had no burgers! We were absolutely shocked! What restaurant who offers several different kinds of burgers on their menu have NO burgers? Could they not have bought some burgers from the Wholesale Club or somewhere else until they solved the problem with their suppliers? Anyway we accepted the server’s explanation in good humour but when we tried to order something off the happy hour menu (45 mins early) we were told we couldn’t because it wasn’t 3:00 yet. You would think that they might have made an exception but of course didn’t. Finally we ordered but waited a long time to get our food and the turkey sandwich (soup combo) that my husband ordered was dry and very tasteless. It looked like it had been made hours before. The Manager or someone did come to our table and apologized asking if there was something else that he wanted. So the beef dip sandwich was ordered which finally came after the rest of us were all finished with another bowl of chicken noodle soup which by the way my husband said was tasty. The steak sandwich was also good according to my brother in law. The Thai Red Curry dish was just okay. Will we go back to this restaurant? Probably not! It may actually be a while before we ever go back to another Moxies! [hidden link]

First I would like to say that this place was one of our favorite places to get a fabulous meal. that was before we left last night. the waiter was excellent, but he can not change the taste and look of eating. first the calamari was cut into huge pieces and the teig was absolutely tasteless. even the bath couldn't store it, we ordered also two orders of salad packs and they were ok, but they were previously excellent. no more. the salate with the laugh for $25 was the biggest disappointment. a huge salat wedge and the salmon was so over cooked that it was almost white. we sent them back and as I said before the young man was very accommodating. I don't know what went wrong, but the cook should never send the kind of food we had last night. it will be a long time before we go back, and this is as disappointing as we used to really love it.

It's a past since we visited this moxie last, but we recently decided to go for our evening meal more at the moment. Moxie’s was practical, we had good meal times there in the past and we were able to...a reservation. we were immediately greeted at the arrival and shown on our table. our server has arrived immediately to take beverage orders and check with us in the menu. I decided the Rind-Dip and my man had a burger. the meals were beautifully presented and portions were good, but that is where it stopped for me. the beef dip had an unusual taste about what I couldn't put my finger on the mushrooms? for me it was from the brush, and the pommes were so salty, they were not edible. my man said he was too salty. our server offered to get us more, but at the time we were almost ready to leave so that we rejected the offer. there is a good separation between the diners that is important during this time, the service was excellent, but I found the restaurant to be quite loud. I think it will be some time before I returned the whole meal myself was a great disappointment.
