Saffron Restaurant - Calgary

Anytime I eat oversalted food I am suspicious. Are they trying to hide something? Every dish was too salty, and some tasted over-vinegared (?). Definitely sitting under a heat lamp, or something, for way too long. And weird samosas. After my first experienced here I was 50/50, but after this time I'm 100% out. We won't be giving anymore chances.

We love the combo of 1 vegetable dish, 1 meat dish, rice and naan for $13. Its enough for 2 adults without left overs.

Always an amazing dinner. Prices are excellent and the quality is even better. Owners are the nicest people ever, and are always willing to help out when you don't know what ingredients are in a certain dish. Naan and butter chicken are second to none.

Great famly run Indian takeout. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny. The butter chicken is amazing and always available. Some of their other dishes are just as good but the menu varies day to day. If you're lucky they'll have aloo gobi the night you visit. Their veggie samosas are delicious. Call ahead if you want your order ready at a specific time.

I can't say enough about how lovely the staff here are. We had a fundraiser which they were very supportive of. They committed to catering to the group and made sure everything was on time. This was a lot of pressure for them but they made multiple trips and went above and beyond to make everything work! Thank you so much for the team, not only was their service fantastic they delivered food that was memorable. I look forward to eating here again!Thanks for your great work.
