Taj Kabob Afghan Street Food - Calgary

I didn’t see anything special about service or environment but for the money you pay you get a decent quality food which doesn’t make you regret the value you spent. I went here on the way to airport and I may go again next time. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

I really enjoyed my meal.. I had the mixed kabob platter with Nan bread. This platter comes with a fresh salad which is really well done I think the salad had spinach cabbage onions and lettuce and is drizzled with a Afghani style dressing I'm not a big salad person but I'll have to admit it was very healthy and pretty tasty. I really enjoyed the two different kabobs I had one was the traditional Afghani flattened style meat kabob and the other one was a tandoori chicken kabob my preference of the two was the Afghani style meat kabob. It was served on a bed of rice the rice itself was nicely cooked but it didn't quite have the flavor I expected it was a little bit bland.. but in fairness to this restaurant I have been eating at a lot of Indian restaurants so I've developed a taste for that. The naan bread that was served was pretty thin and flat and didn't really have much flavor but it was a nice piece of bread to accompany the meal. The staff is very kind the place is very well decored and clean. I'll probably come back here again someday and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a unique dining experience. Four out of five stars !!
